Diamonds don’t bear any identification mark of their source, they’re distributed randomly to highly trained graders at each step of the grading process, to make sure objectivity and integrity. Graders also grade the stone using gemological instruments including microscopes, a jewellers loupe and new industry tools.
Do remember that graders certify diamonds using powerful tools, most of the grading differences can’t be made out by the untrained eye!
